About this blog

I have downloaded a couple of hundred apps that can be use by speech paths in therapy. The vast majority of these apps fall into these basic categories: vocabulary, language, descriptions, categories, signing and augmentative communication, sounds, multiple uses, articulation, audio taping capable, reading and books. By far, most apps fall into the language and vocabulary categories. Most apps can be adapted for therapy and quick evaluations such as a progress report.

The quality and usability of an app is not necessarily related to its cost. Some of the best apps are free. In this blog, I'll describe and evaluate apps that speech paths can use and offer suggestions as to how they can be used. At the bottom of this blog (in the brown area) I list my favorite apps after each is reviewed. Blogs are rated from one to five + signs. The best rating is 5 plus signs (I'll probably change to stars once I figure out how to access them).

Perhaps you use apps that you like. Please feel free to post your opinions and suggestions for apps that we can use.
